Come Fly With Us!http://www.kcballoonadventures.com/balloon-flights.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0

Flying in a Hot Air Balloon is like floating on your own cloud. Your pilot will  skim across the treetops allowing you to pick leaves and soar up to 3,000 feet above the ground to give you a bird's eye view of the landscape.

You can see wildlife such as deer, wild turkey, hawks and the Great Blue Heron while people on the ground follow along yelling "Hello" or "Land Here"

wishing they were the ones flying in the balloon.

Champagne Celebration

Over the river.

Our balloon flights take place at Sunrise or approximately two hours prior to Sunset any day that the winds are less than 10 mph and there is

no inclement weather in the area.

During the summer months if the heat index is forecast to be extremely high we only schedule morning flights because the extreme heat not only affects the performance of the balloon but it can be just plain uncomfortable!

When do balloons fly?

Where do we fly?

Our balloon flights take place in the southern area of Kansas City depending on the direction of the wind for that day.  We are required by the FAA to plan our flights so that we are landing outside of highly congested areas. This also gives us many more options for safe landing sites.

We generally meet our passengers at the Johnson County Executive Airport located at 151st Street and Pflumm in Olathe, KS or for flights in the Louisburg, KS area we meet at the Price Chopper located at the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway 68. We do have several meeting locations and they do change depending on the direction of the wind where are passengers are traveling from - more specific meeting location information will be given to you when you call to

check-in for your flight.

Kids of all ages...we have actually flown people from the age of 6 months to 101 years old! But, we usually suggest no younger than 5 years old as the attention span tends not to last for the duration of the flight!

We ask that you be able to climb in and out of the basket unassisted and be able to stand for the duration of the flight. A typical landing can be likened to hopping off a picnic table or jumping off 4 steps.

Don't worry about being afraid of heights...

Flying in a balloon is like floating on your own cloud!

Children 14 or younger

must be accompanied by an adult.

We do not allow pregnant women to fly...sorry but you will have to wait until after the baby is born. Also please inform us of any recent injuries or surgery

...our goal is to keep everybody SAFE!

If you are not sure you can stand for the duration of the flight or need other assistance we are willing to make special arrangements for you, just ask and

we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

If you have any special needs we will want to

plan your flight for a day where the winds are

extremely light, say 2-5 mph to assure that the

crew can be there to assist us when we land.

Who can fly in a balloon?

Where do we land?

Balloons travel at the same speed and direction as the wind, your pilot is able to steer the balloon by using the wind currents at different altitudes.

The Chase Crew follows the balloon and obtains permission from the landowner before we land.

We look for a large yard, church, school or a mowed field that is accessible for the chase vehicle and steer the balloon in for landing.

After landing and packing up the balloon we celebrate your memorable first flight with a traditional Champagne Ceremony.

What does it cost?

Flights are $275.00 per person for up to four people in each basket or $375.00 per person for a more romantic "Private" flight for two.

We ask you to allow about 3 hours from the meeting time until you return to your vehicle.
